Ease of Use
The Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor is a benchtop bioreactor made to utilize your in-house control top with the aid of a motor adapter (one motor adapter is needed to run each Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor). The Thomson Optimum Growth™ 5L Flask is a small ready-to-use bioreactor run in a standard shaker (seven Optimum Growth™ 5L Flasks can fit into a standard ATR Shaker). Below you will see a comparison of the components needed to start the growing process with both the Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor and the Thomson Optimum Growth™ 5L Flask.
One will see that the Mobius® 3L Bioreactor utilizes several components including probes, motor adapters, and ten lines to deal with before you can start the production of cells. The Thomson Optimum Growth™ 5L Flask only has two components-a cap and a flask-and you are are ready to place in a shaker (up to seven will fit a standard shaker) to start growing cells.

The Mobius® CellReady 3L Bioreactor is a benchtop unit so the number of Mobius® bioreactors you can have running at one time is dependent to the amount of bench space you have available. In contrast, the Optimum Growth™ Flasks run in the standard shakers you have already, eliminating the need for costly adapters required for each Mobius® unit and freeing up your bench space.
